Mystic Irish Parade

March is an exciting month for Mystic! This year marks the 18th annual Mystic Irish Parade through the streets of downtown. The parade will be bigger and better than ever, with live Irish music, dancing, and more! To go along with the parade, there are many other exciting events in town, from restaurant specials, to live band performances. If you haven’t experienced an Irish Parade in Mystic, now’s your chance to get in on all the shenanigans!

Mystic Irish Parade

On Sunday March 19th 2023, the Mystic Irish Parade will kick off at 1pm! It will begin at the Mystic Seaport Museum, continue through the streets of downtown, and will conclude at the Mystic Museum of Art. Over 2,000 marchers, 100 units, and 40,000 spectators are expected! Put on your best green gear and celebrate this exciting day that’s full of fun, festivities and friends!

Mystic Irish 5K

Wear your best green gear and join us Saturday March 19th at 10am for the annual Mystic Irish 5K certified race to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Mystic. The certified course starts and ends in Downtown Mystic and travels along scenic River Road and the banks of the Mystic River. The race winners have a reserved spot to march in the Mystic Irish Parade the next day!

Parade Day 

Taqueiro will be celebrating on parade day! They’ll have Irish specials, like Reuben Irish tacos, chocolate caramel shamrock shakes, jello shots, and Guinness of course!

Head over to The Shipwright’s Daughter for their Parade Day brunch. Watch the parade right from your table, while dining on delicious Irish classics. Reservations are required for this gourmet meal.

Many businesses in town get into the spirit of the parade and offer themed items. Check out Sift Bake Shop for their freshly baked green croissants!

The fun doesn’t have to end when the parade does! Rocks 21 is hosting a parade after party, complete with Irish food specials, like classic corned beef and cabbage. There will be drink specials all day, and live music by Wicked Peach! Angie’s Pizza will also have a live music event after the parade. The Fake Experience will perform from 3pm-6pm on parade day.

We’re so excited for this year’s Mystic Irish Parade. It’s a little bit of Ireland in our beautiful small town!
