Mystic Country

From the MA border into northeast CT, take exit 99 off of Route 395 into Thompson, to Route 200 East to the Thompson Common. Turn left onto Route 193 South. Follow Route 193 over the West Thompson Dam, to Route 171. Take a right onto Route 171 and enter South Woodstock. Just before the Intersection of Routes 171 and 169 (you’ll see the traffic light ahead), take a right onto Roseland Park Road, after passing the Woodstock Fairgrounds. Follow Roseland Park Road passing Roseland Golf Course, one of the oldest public golf courses in the country (on your left), and Roseland Park on Roseland Lake (on your right). Follow Roseland Park Road to Dugg Hill Road, and take a left onto Woodstock Road, with scenic farmland surrounding you.

Take a right onto Route 169 North, then a left onto Route 197 in North Woodstock. Follow Route 197 as it merges with Route 171 through Bigelow Hollow State Park. Take a left onto Route 190 into Union. Pass over Interstate 84, and Bush Meadow Farm is a short distance on your right, offering breakfast and lunch, cheeses and meats made on the farm.
