Wolf Den Trail

In the CountryTrails lead to the famous wolf den where Revolutionary War General Israel Putnam is said to have slain the last wolf in Connecticut. The region was once the domain of the Mohegan Chief Uncas. The name Mashamoquet is Indian for stream of good fishing.
