The Greater Mystic Visitors Bureau (GMVB), is a unique not-for-profit public private partnership, administered by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut. The sole asset of GMVB is the website Mystic.org. The goal of the Greater Mystic Visitors Bureau is to complement and work with the State of Connecticut tourism office by advertising Mystic Country as a tourism destination to increase the number of visitors and overnight stays to the region.
Mystic Country is an exciting and colorful destination blending the tranquility of classic New England seascapes and scenic rolling hills with rich cultural heritage and sophisticated, top-notch entertainment. Home to Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, Mohegan Sun and the Last Green Valley, Mystic Country covers the eastern third of Connecticut and coastal Rhode Island. A convenient escape, located just a few hours by car or train from both Boston and New York City, and easily accessible from Hartford and Providence airports.
