Cruise quietly from RiverQuest's home berth at Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam to search for our returning Ospreys and resident Bald Eagles. Along the edge of the Connecticut River there are two Bald Eagle’s nests where we hope to find evidence of hatched eaglets. There are also numerous Osprey nests. Some of the Ospreys are already nesting in trees, on platforms and on the day markers, a navigation aid in the river; some are just returning from their southern wintering grounds. We will educate all on the Bald Eagle, Osprey and any other birds/wildlife and other points of interest, including Gillette Castle, we may see on our journey.
