Description

Join the town of Coventry as they celebrate their 300th anniversary with a wide variety of entertainment, floats, music and community organization.

The theme of the parade is “300 Years of Community Pride: Past, Present and Future.” The parade will be arranged in 4 divisions representing the centuries of 1700s, 1800s, 1900s and 2000s, as well as an Escort Division.

The parade follows the traditional Memorial Day parade route, stepping off at G.H. Robertson School, 227 Cross Street, traveling down past Patriots Park to the intersection of Main Street (Rt. 31) and heading south on Main Street, ending near the site of the old Public Works garage on Bradbury Lane. A VIP reviewing stand and media access point will be on the grounds of First Congregational Church, 1171 Main Street, as well as a hospitality area where people can get literature and information about area activities and businesses. Stretch the Clown and roving children’s entertainment will be near the Memorial Green.  A military fly-over is also planned. Restrooms will be available at Patriots Park and G.H. Robertson School. Spectators can enjoy coffee and donuts while they wait for the parade at Bidwell Tavern, 1260 Main Street.
