7:00 PM: Booksigning and discussion of Judging Lincoln with author Frank J. Williams, former RI Chief Justice, in the Slater Auditorium.

The reception and lecture are free and open to the public. All are welcome.

Abraham Lincoln is widely acknowledged as one of America's greatest presidents. He has a strong connection to the City of Norwich both before and during his presidency. This national exhibit examines Lincoln's views on the issues of slavery and emancipation, secession and civil liberties, and how they relate to the Constitution.

Lincoln: the Constitution and the Civil War, a traveling exhibition for libraries, was organized by the National Constitution Center and the American Library Association Public Programs Office. The traveling exhibition has been made possible by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
