“A Miniature Show” for the Holidays
November 15, 2012 through December 31, 2012

THE GALLERY AT FIREHOUSE SQUARE is proving that big things come in small packages this holiday season. From November 15th through December 31st, The Gallery is presenting “A Miniature Show” to highlight some the area’s most talented artists and their more intimate works of art. This unique art exhibit will feature artwork no bigger than 8”x10” with prices starting at $25 to offer guests greater flexibility and affordability when it comes to buying and giving art this holiday season.

“A Miniature Show” opens on November 15th with an evening reception from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., featuring an exquisite collection of fine cheeses offered by Fromage Fine Foods and Coffee of Old Saybrook with a selection of fine wines compliments of The Gallery. In addition, the evening will include a selection of mini quiches, pies and muffins provided by Sweeties of New London with traditional holiday music performed of Steve Eist from the Madry Temple Chorus of New London.

Artists appearing in “A Miniature Show” include: Randie Powers Kahrl of Old Lyme, Katherine Larocca of Fairfield, Robert W. Rich of New London, Bob Perkowski of Milford, Lizbeth Maxson-McGee of Groton, Elisabeth McGinn of Oakdale, Laura Levine of Old Saybrook, Kirk Larsen of Hicksville, New York, William Hanson of Bristol, Jill Nichols of Shelton, Jeffrey Hitch of Milford, Del-Bourree Bach of Mystic, Heather Lusk of Mystic, and Al Barker of New Jersey.

As a special holiday treat, THE GALLERY AT FIREHOUSE SQUARE is also opening up its exclusive collection of original prints by famed ornithologist and artist Roger Tory Peterson, whose famous field guides helped to popularize the hobby of birding and advanced the conservation movement.  These unframed prints are original editions (numbered 1 of 1) and available for viewing and purchase at The Gallery during the holidays. And as another special holiday treat, The Gallery is offering a 25% discount on all the unframed works of art and photography that is purchased at The Gallery and framed at the Frame Shop at Firehouse Square.
