Mystic Country

More than 150 Civil War re-enactors from around New England will spend two days camped out on the Museum’s village green to commemorate Connecticut’s role in the conflict. Uniformed soldiers and artillerymen will perform demonstrations, march in formation, fire muskets and cannon, and participate in an amphibious operation on the Mystic River. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn what it was like to serve in the war. This event is a collaboration with the Connecticut Civil War Commemoration Commission.
