Mystic Country

Mystic Moves Dance Theater adds a third dimension to the artwork of Lynn Walker, whose solo exhibition, “Rhythm in Color” is on view in Mystic Arts Center’s Schuster Gallery through June 22.

Choreographer Christine Poland worked closely with the artist and based her dances on Lynn’s Movement series. Color, texture, and spacial patterns in the artist’s paintings all served as inspiration. The resulting pieces combine physicality and timing with heightened emotional phrasing.
