Wednesday 12 June 2013, 07:30pm - 08:30pm

On Wednesday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m., the Mystic River Historical will feature a panel from Mystic Seaport who will discuss the history and restoration of the last surviving wooden whaleship, Charles W. Morgan. Since her launch date is scheduled shortly afterward in July this will be an opportunity to learn about what is involved in preparing for the launch and what will happen afterward.

Members of the panels are: Steve White, President of Mystic Seaport, Quentin Snediker, Director of the Henry B. DuPont Preservation Shipyard at Mystic Seaport and Matthew Stackpole, Major Gifts Officer and Morgan Restoration Project Ship's Historian.

The program is at the Mystic Congregational Church Parish Hall and will be followed by a question and answer period and refreshments. It is free and open to the public.
