Landmark Trail

Discover some of what makes Mystic magic with a bike tour that offers views (and a chance to visit) three of the area's most famous landmarks - Mystic Seaport, Mystic's Bascule Bridge, and B.F. Clyde's Cider Mill - a can't miss crowd (and appetite) pleaser since 1881.

Total Distance - about 7 mi

Along the route:

A) Mystic Seaport - America's leading maritime history museum is home to four National Historic Landmark Vessels and a re-created 19th century seafaring village, among many other things. (Admission required) Mystic Seaport Store is on your right along route. (No admission required!)

B) B.F. Clyde's Cider Mill - Clyde's is the only remaining steam-powered cider mill in the U.S., and the sixth generation of the Clyde family continues to produce cider at this National Historic Landmark.

C) River Road - Running beside the Mystic River, this scenic road offers terrific water views of the ships of Mystic Seaport and Mystic's famous Bascule Bridge.

D) Bascule Bridge - This historic 1922 marvel delights bridge fans since, unlike many bascules, its mechanical parts are all out in the open.

E) RiverWalk Restaurant - Just steps from the landmark flagpole in downtown Mystic, the RiverWalk offers a creative blend of new American cuisine and old favorites.
